SkinGenX Safety Promise
SkinGenX products will not contain these harmful ingredients that are currently available in many high end formulas or doctors’ brands:
- Animal testing or animal derived ingredients. Animal testing is not required to manufacture high quality and safe products and it will be banned in most of the EU countries soon. Also, many of the most potent anti-oxidants that help protect the skin and the peptides used to fight the signs of aging are plant based. SkinGenX uses these potent ingredients, formulations and manufacturing processes that do not endorse animal cruelty. SkinGenX recently joined PETA’s Cruelty Free Program.
- Chemical sunscreens (no oxybenzone or benzophenone-3)
Oxybenzone increases free radical formation under UV light. In other words, it is likely to cause DNA mutation of the skin cells when used in the sun. Unfortunately, this ingredient is widely used in sunscreens in the U.S. In Europe, sunscreen products with 0.5% or more oxybenzone must be labeled “Contains Oxybenzone”. SkinGenX sunscreens do not contain this suspect photocarcinogenic ingredient. - PABA (4-aminobenzoic acid or para-aminobenzoic acid)
PABA increases DNA defect in human cells, which translates to increased risk of skin cancer. While there are safer derivates of PABA available, SkinGenX air’s on the side of caution and does not use this ingredient in our sunscreens. - Parabens

- Synthetic Fragrances
‘Fragrance’ was voted Allergen of the Year in 2007 by the American Contact Dermatitis Society. The composition of fragrances are usually not disclosed in the label of products, hiding the actual chemicals of the formula, which raises concerns between some consumers. Unfortunately, most of the high end, designer or doctor brands of cosmetics contain synthetic fragrances that are petroleum based. Instead of these synthetic ingredients, SkinGenX uses distilled essential plant based oils and always disclose the full list of their ingredients.
SkinGenX has signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics and continuously search for safer and more efficacious ingredients in Cosmetic Safety Database.
